End of an era

It was with a certain measure of shock and regret that, in late-January 2009, Kiwi Extreme cc received correspondence from the Provincial Administration of the Western Cape (PAWC), the landlords of the Gouritz River Bridge jump-site

Their documentation requires all operations to cease and for the Gourits River Bridge to be vacated by no later that 28 February 2008.

We have been informed that the reason behind this decision is due to an engineer’s evaluation report indicating defects in the steel structure that make the bridge unsafe.

At the Gourits Bridge site we offer bungy jumping and a Bridge swing option from the 65 meter high Gourits Riverb ridges.
